Sangre is the official scientific publication of the Sociedad Española de Hematología y Hemoterapia.
After a break, the prestigious journal Sangre resumes the publication that started in 1956 now in electronic format.

The journal’s mission is to advance the field of hematology and hemotherapy by disseminating high-quality original research, reviews, case reports, and editorials encompassing everything from molecular biology to clinical transfusion medicine. SANGRE is specifically tailored for hematologists, clinical and basic researchers, specialized nursing staff, and healthcare professionals dedicated to the study and treatment of blood-related disorders.

It is a quarterly publication (since 2026), open access (open at no cost to authors and readers), with double-blind peer review, published in a bilingual electronic version and accepting manuscripts for evaluation in Spanish or English. It has an Editorial Committee composed of national and international experts.
